Hilshire Village Mayor Ed Davis says, "There is no right for the citizen to put [American] flags in the right-of-way; in the city right-of-way."

Local government prohibits American flag on right-of-way

We have beeen flying American flags on our home and along the street for over two years in support of our troops overseas. We have been told by our local city government, Hilshire Village (a small incorporated city inside Houston, Texas) that the city "will no longer tolerate the presence of these flags".
